My Chief bobber is a 46 motor in a 47 frame, 47 girder - chromed, wheels are '60s 18" Borranni laced with stainless to chromed 47 hubs, tires - 100/80 and 130/80, electrics are 12V with Cycle electric generator and Pertronics electronic ignition. Exhaust by owner. Fender by owner. Manual advance fabbed from British choke lever. Original 46 tanks. Left hand police style jockey shift with suicide clutch(King plates). 28 tooth transmission sprocket for decent highway speed. 40mm Dellorto pumper carb on intake adapter from Tedd's. Headlight is NAPA 788. seat by BAR. I very much prefer the modern upgrades over "period correct" options. The performance enhancement is significant and improved reliability makes this old-timer an all day rider.

You are looking at my custom cut down Redskin. Engine is 1946 74" Indian Chief B. Frame is original, uncut 1947. Forks are nicely chromed '47 girder. Wheels are 18" Borrani with chrome hubs and stainless spokes. Shotgun pipes are made from scratch by myself. Other modifications include: left hand police style jockey shifter, electronic ignition with manual advance, King clutch, 40mm Dellorto pumper carb and 12V CE generator. This classic was built to ride with simplicity and reliability most important; a 58 year old bike that cruises smooth and strong at 70mph with a 28 tooth transmission sprocket. Soon to install Ollie cams will take further advantage of the big carb. -- Rob in Reno. (Robstr01@aol.com)
