Part One - Introduction (this article still under construction)

3480001a.jpg (53438 bytes)Yep, gotta be plain crazy, but here's another project bike of mine, a 48 Chief.  Fortunately it is almost complete so that's a big hurdle crossed already.

To be honest, actually I don't know if I will restore this machine or not yet. I certainly will be throwing it together and getting her rolling and probably running, just to free up shelf space and make it a more viable prospect for someone else should I decide to sell it.

348003a.jpg (71982 bytes)The frame is a  transitional '48 frame (348 2083) that is its anatomically correct for 48 except the rear cross-brace is not curved. It is in real decent order with no repairs or missing castings etc.

This 348 is one of 3 bikes that were pulled down from running machines some 20 odd years ago and never quite progressed past that point!....shame, doesn't that make you sick too?
